Drone Designers Pilot Program

Putting STEAM Programming to the Test

PCS Edventures' Erika Liebel, teacher and curriculum developer, partnered with Melanie Schrader a Wood River Middle School 7th grade educator to pilot the program in her Leadership classroom. Students worked through the engineering design process mirroring the roles of a world-renowned drone production team. Students had the ability to work as choreographers, costume designers, project managers and more as they orchestrated their grand culminating performance.

From newspaper articles to radio interviews, the results and feedback from this pilot program have been phenomenal. We're seeing a growing interest from schools nationwide looking to adopt drone programming. Pre-orders for Drone Designers is growing daily. The Idaho STEM Action Center has also announced exciting news that they will be offering Drone Designers during their summer professional development training for Idaho educators.
