M2-5 camera screws provided don't fit

Opened the unlabeled bag with 4 screws and Allen wrench. Attempted to insert screws through camera brackets (fits perfectly through the bracket hole), but was too large for the hole in the camera. Is the **** too large, or should I bore out the holes in the camera to make the **** fit?
Or should I buy new screws that fit?
Please advise.
