Arts Integration Lessons

The Sun Valley Museum of Art announces the launch of new teacher resources available on their website! These resources are in the form of integrated arts lesson plans, instructional videos and related resources for teaching secondary Science, Social Studies, Math and English.

Lesson Plans

These lessons, initially developed in collaboration with classroom teachers, are designed to address learning goals in both the subject area and art. Art integration has been proven to deepen students’ understanding of the material, as well as increase motivation in learning, self-expression and problem-solving skills.

Lesson plans are searchable by subject or grade and include materials list, lesson objectives and additional resources. The instructional videos walk viewers step-by-step through the art-making process so that anyone can use the arts to enhance the lesson.

We hope these resources will benefit anyone interested in incorporating art into their teaching and are excited to be partners with the Sun Valley Museum of Art!
