Student Projects:

  1. Create a new project and new user as you write and save your first program.
  2. Build with fischertechnik™ manipulatives and start basic programming with The Brain in Cortex software.
  3. Add more advanced motor commands to your programming skillset.
  4. Learn to direct motors in reverse and save projects in Cortex.
  5. Review motor commands as you learn to direct the robot.
  6. Learn to distinguish between local and global commands by comparing On and On For commands.
  7. Combine the use of different global commands to create useful programs.
  8. Use global commands to drive the mechanical components of the robot.
  9. Repeat a series of commands using the Repeat command, and learn to use audio feedback.
  10. Build upon the use of audio feedback with more complex audio commands.
  11. Learn how to wait for a specific time with global commands.
  12. Create visual outputs with LED lights.
  13. Learn the Loop and Break functions and how to incorporate them in programming.
  14. Learn how to use procedures and subroutines within a program.
  15. Integrate and program physical sensors in a program.
  16. Use logical modifiers to create complex programs.
